BLOCK PRESSES
BP 240 & BP 360

TURBO Refrigerating's Block Presses can convert all types of ice-- plate, tube, flake or snow --into salable blocks. The compacted block is more durable than frozen blocks.
This block has the same slow melting characteristics as the conventional block--and it can pass all sanitary requirements. With this TURBO Block Press, you can sell all the ice you freeze. TURBO Block Presses have been carefully designed, engineered and field tested.

 

 

TURBO offers the only complete line of presses:

TURBO Block Presses are capable of automatic feeding. Because of this, the TURBO Block Presses require fewer operators than presses that need to be hand fed.

They feature solid, stainless steel compacting chambers and solid stainless steel compacting pads. Supporting frames are galvanized for corrosion protection. Turbo's patented ice cut off slide makes possible consistent in volumetric measurement. A simple manual slide height adjustment makes possible constant block weights with different types of ice. The Block Presses are completely assembled and factory wired. Each Press is test run prior to shipment to assure maximum quality assurance.

PNEUMATIC ICE BLOWER

Components of the pneumatic ice delivery system are listed individually below in order to permit both a preliminary layout and budgetary pricing of a 50 HP blower system. The final jobsite layout will determine the actual blower size, which, if different, can significantly change the blower price. TURBO uses a computerized program for blower sizing. TURBO will supply complete sizing and pricing of your blower system. Please answer the questions in the "Blower Selection Guide" below.

A. INCLINE SCREW CONVEYOR

To deliver ice from the rake floor screw to the batch scale: Includes 9 inch(22.86cm) diameter galvanized steel incline screw conveyor with drive motor for 100 RPM operation, 14 gauge trough with shroud cover, standard pitch screw and discharge spout. Incline trough support supplied and installed by others. 24 foot(7.3 M) long incline screw conveyor

B. BATCH WEIGHING SCALE

A 150 pound (68kg) capacity batch scale capable of handling/weighing 25 U.S. tons(22.6 metric tons) per hour. Includes complete kit with electronic scale with cardinal unit, load cell on the scale, 12 inch(30.5 cm) discharge screw conveyor, 24 inch(60.1 cm) platform to accept rotary air lock valve, and a 600 pound(272 kg) discharge hopper. 150 Pound Batch Scale Electronic Count-Down Controller

BLOWER SELECTION GUIDE

For sizing and pricing, please answer the following questions and send to TURBO, including a sketch, if possible.

  1. What is the total horizontal distance that the ice is to be blown to the discharge point?
  2. What is the vertical height of the highest point along the tubing ice-run?
  3. What is the total quantity of ninety degree(90 °) tube elbows? Tube elbows have a 90 foot(2.75 M) radius.
  4. What is the desired ice delivery rate in pounds (or kilograms) per hour?

Now TURBO offers an all new ice sizer that can increase your bag count by significantly reducing snow. Higher production rates because of a much drier end product. With drier ice you get less waste, a more sellable product in the bag.

  • High capacity. Can handle up to 1,000 pounds per minute.
  • Rugged construction. Sanitary Stainless Steel and UHMW construction fights corrosion.
  • Economical to operate. Uses a minimum of power.
